As expected, Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells will be active for Sunday's game against the New York Giants. Wells had been nursing a hamstring injury.
Beanie Wells Injury Update: Cardinals Running Back Will Be Active Against Giants
Wells has so far gotten off to a solid start despite battling injuries much of the year. He has missed one game, but in the two games he has played, he has rushed for 183 yards and scored two touchdowns.
Fantasy owners should feel comfortable playing him, or at least as comfortable as they ever are starting Wells. More likely, this is a bigger relief for Cardinals fans, who would have been looking at the prospects of LaRod Stephens-Howling or rookie Ryan Williams. Chester Taylor is also on the roster, and while easily the most experienced of the group, but he has just 20 yards on nine carries this year and is no one's idea of a NFL-starting running back at this point in his career.
