NFL Scores Week 4, Broncos Vs. Packers: Aaron Rodgers Shreds Denver In 49-23 Romp

Aaron Rodgers? Still good at football. The Green Bay signal caller accounted for six touchdowns in the Packers’ 49-23 romp over the Broncos at Lambeau Field.

Aaron Rodgers gave the Green Bay Packers enough points to beat the Denver Broncos in a first half offensive explosion at Lambeau Field. And then Rodgers and the Packers kept scoring, running away with a 49-23 rout.

Rodgers threw for 408 yards and four touchdowns — one each to Jordy Nelson, Greg Jennings, James Jones, and Donald Driver — while shredding Denver's secondary, and added two more touchdowns on the ground, as Green Bay built on a 28-17 halftime lead for a convincing win. Rodgers became the first player since 1960 to throw for 400 yards and four touchdowns and add two rushing touchdowns, according to ESPN Stats and Info.

Beyond Rodgers, though, the Packers were more than Denver's match. Green Bay's defense allowed three Kyle Orton touchdown passes, but also picked off the embattled Broncos quarterback three times, with Charles Woodson returning one interception for a touchdown. And though the Packers conceded 384 yards to the Broncos, they limited the Denver offense to just four third down conversions in 11 attempts.

In the Broncos' losing effort, Eric Decker caught two of Orton's touchdown passes, Brandon Lloyd had eight receptions for 136 yards, and Willis McGahee gained 103 rushing yards.

Green Bay moves to 4-0 with the victory, and Denver falls to 1-3 with the loss.
