The Washington Redskins enter this game against the Carolina Panthers with a new quarterback at the helm: John Beck. Coach Mike Shanahan pulled the plug on Rex Grossman's time under center after a four-interception performance last Sunday. According to Odds Shark, the Redskins started this game as three-point underdogs on the road. At least one line has moved the game to just one point in favor of the Panthers.
NFL Odds And Lines Week 7: Redskins Vs. Panthers
John Beck leads the Washington Redskins against Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers on Sunday as three-point underdogs. Can he pull off the upset in his first start this season?

Essentially, the odds makers see this as a game that could go either way. But Beck has started just four games through five seasons and last saw time in a regular season game as a rookie in 2007. On the other side, the Panthers play quarterback, who has started all six games so far in his season. While Newton has proved exciting, his Panthers are just 1-5 this season. Allowing 27.2 points, tied for 28th through Week 6, doesn’t help things at all.
The over/under for this game is 43 points, but these two teams could go over it, despite Washington averaging just 19.2 points this season.
