Sam Bradford Injury Status: Rams Quarterback Out, A.J. Feeley To Start Against Dallas Cowboys

The injury to Sam Bradford that occurred last week in the St. Louis Rams game against the Green Bay Packers was diagnosed as the dreaded high ankle sprain. "Dreaded" because it's difficult to put a timetable on recovery for that sort of injury, but it's been determined that the Rams quarterback will at least miss Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys as A.J. Feeley gets a spot start.

Bradford was ruled out on Saturday, as first reported by FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer and later confirmed by the team. Feeley’s start isn’t surprising as he took all of the first-team practice reps on Thursday despite the fact that Bradford originally expected to start against the Cowboys.

Missing this Sunday's game probably isn't any sort of indicator regarding Bradford's injury status going forward as high ankle sprains are notoriously difficult to diagnose. For now, though, Feeley will be under center. Prior to last week's game, Feeley hadn't appeared in a regular season game since 2007 with the Philadelphia Eagles.
