Pacman Jones started the season on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list for the Cincinnati Bengals and by rule any player who starts the season on the PUP list is ineligible to play for the first six games of the season. Now that the Bengals have played six games, Jones has beentaken off the PUP list.
Pacman Jones Exits PUP List For Cincinnati Bengals
Bengals CB Pacman Jones has exited the PUP list and the team now has three weeks to activate him or shut him down for the rest of the season.
This means that the Bengals have three weeks to do two things: activate him to the 53-man roster or shut him down for the rest of the season.
Jones is recovering from a pair of surgeries to repair a herniated disc in his neck, an injury that limited him to five games in the 2010 season.
Jones is in the second year of a two-year deal with the Bengals so this is a big moment for him in regards to his NFL future. He says he’s healthy and ready to play at a high level so, if that’s the case, we could see him for the Bengals in Week 8.
