LeGarrette Blount Injury: Bucs Hope To Have RB Back In Week 9

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense relied heavily on running back LeGarrette Blount in the first five weeks of the season, and despite the fact that they were able to defeat the New Orleans Saints in Week 6, they're going to need him back as soon as possible. Blount has missed the Buccaneers' last two games with an MCL sprain, and the early prognosis was that he would be out 4-6 weeks. Earnest Graham did well in his absence against the Saints and started against the Chicago Bears in London, but Graham is now feared out for the season.

Luckily for Blount and the Bucs, they have a bye week in Week 8, giving Blount some extra time to recover without missing any games. The Bucs hope to have Blount back for Week 9's rematch with New Orleans, and they're going to be in deep trouble if he's unable to go. Fullback Erik Lorig went down with an injury against the Bears as well, meaning the Bucs could very well be without their top three backfield contributors in Week 9 if they don't get healthy fast. With Kregg Lumpkin as the only healthy back, the Bucs threw 51 times against the Bears, to little success.
