Vikings’ Chris Cook Remains In Jail After Monday Court Date Is Canceled

Chris Cook remains in jail after his Monday court appearance was canceled, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. The court date was postponed while Eden Prairie, MN, police continue their investigation. As of yet, the case has not been forwarded to the county attorney's office.

Unless an extension is granted, Cook could be released from jail Tuesday if he isn't charged by then. What that would mean in terms of ramifications from the NFL remains to be seen. Of course, as we have seen in cases such as Ben Roethlisberger, there needn't be any official charges pressed for Roger Goodell to hand down a suspension.

Cook missed Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers. His services would certainly have been appreciated, considering Aaron Rodgers had a field day in game that the Vikings lost by only six points.
