Voting for the 2012 Pro Bowl is now available at NFL.com. It’s pretty early to be talking about Pro Bowlers considering we haven’t even hit the haflway point in the season but already there are a number of players pulling away from the pack.

At quarterback, Aaron Rodgers seems like the biggest lock of them all as he's putting up outstanding numbers. Add Tom Brady and Drew Brees in there as guys likely to see a Pro Bowl bid. One interesting name to consider: Cam Newton. He's currently fourth in the league in passing yards.
At running back, Matt Forte is the name that first comes to my mind of guys having huge years. Adrian Peterson, Maurice Jones-Drew and Forte lead the league in rushing yards to this point. Darren McFadden is a possibility as well if his foot injury heals.
At receiver, Calvin Johnson is having a huge year leading everyone with 10 touchdown receptions. Wes Welker is also having a terrific year and Steve Smith (the one with the Panthers) is benefitting from Cam Newton's big season.
On the defensive side of the ball, no one is having a bigger year than Jared Allen who leads the league by a healthy margin with 11.5 sacks (ahead of DeMarcus Ware with eight).
Pro Bowl voting will become a little more relevant later in the season once we’ve seen more than half a season on these guys.
