NFL Scores Week 8, Cardinals Vs. Ravens: Baltimore, Ray Rice Overcome Feisty Arizona, 30-27

Baltimore spotted Arizona a three-touchdown second quarter lead — and the Ravens still came back to win in regulation.

Baltimore looked listless. The Ravens had been beaten up in a brutal Monday Night Football loss to the Jaguars, and had just allowed three touchdowns in a little less than five minutes to Arizona. But Ray Rice wouldn't let Baltimore fail, and his three touchdowns helped the Ravens come all the way back from a 24-3 hole to win 30-27 in overtime.

Rice ran for just 63 yards, and none of his three touchdowns covered more than three yards, but all three of them came in the second half, which saw Baltimore outscore Arizona 21-3.

Joe Flacco threw for 336 yards in the victory, completing 31 of his 51 throws.

The Cardinals built their lead with a little luck and some special teams brilliance from Patrick Peterson. Arizona turned two Ravens turnovers in their own end into touchdowns in the second quarter, on a Beanie Wells run and a throw from Kevin Kolb to Early Doucet, and wrapped those touchdowns around an 82-yard punt return score by Peterson, the electric rookie out of LSU.

With the victory, the Ravens move to 5-2 on the year, while the Cardinals drop to 1-6 with the loss.
