The Detroit Lions scored their first touchdown of the day through air, something that will come as no surprise since Matt Stafford was in action. However, Stafford did not connect with Calvin Johnson for this touchdown, as would be the logical guess. Instead, he hit rookie wide receiver Titus Young on a 41-yard pass for the score.

The Lions’ touchdown came after Denver kicked a field goal on their opening drive of the game.
Through the first quarter, Young leads all Detroit receivers with three catches for 58 yards and a touchdown. Matt Stafford is a perfect seven for seven with 83 yards passing.
This was Young’s first touchdown of the season. Prior to this game he had just 15 receptions and 209 yards. Young was a second-round pick out of Boise state. Speedy, most viewed him as a downfield threat in Detroit’s loaded offense, which is exactly what he has been today.
