It turns out that the exchange rate on the Washington Redskins is pretty bad. The Bills throttled Washington north of the border in Toronto, scoring in every quarter and thumping the 'Skins 23-0.
NFL Scores Week 8, Redskins Vs. Bills: Buffalo Takes Snoozer In Toronto, 23-0
Buffalo didn’t need to be home to treat the Redskins rudely. The Bills did their throttling of Washington in Toronto.
Buffalo more than doubled Washington's total yardage, 390 to 174, and dominated every phase of the game. Offense? Yeah, Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns, and Fred Jackson ran for 120 yards. Defense? Try nine sacks and two interceptions of John Beck, and stout rush defense that limited the Redskins to 26 yards on the ground. Special teams? Rian Lindell made three of four field goals, while Graham Gano missed his only try, and the dangerous Brandon Banks was bottled up.
This was the sort of dominant victory that has made Buffalo a dark horse in the AFC. And with New England’s struggles in Pittsburgh, it gives the Bills an extra boost in the AFC East.
The win moves Buffalo to 5-2 on the season, and drops Washington to 3-4 in 2011.
