Matt Hasselbeck was not brought to the Tennessee Titans to be any kind of savior. The ex-Seahawks quarterback had earned a reputation as a good, but not great passer who could win the big game when needed. As the Titans get ready to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5, though, Hasselbeck is among the best passers in the league.

Matt Hasselbeck is looking better than ever with the Titans, who face the Steelers on Sunday.
Hasselbeck comes into the game with a passer rating of 104.7, about 20 points higher than his career average, and 1,152 passing yards. He’s also thrown eight touchdowns. If he keeps up this pace, the 36-year-old will obliterate his career highs.
He’ll face one of his toughest tests this week, though. The Steelers are allowing a paltry 157 passing yards per game and their one game at home this season was a shutout against Hasselbeck’s former team.
