Joseph Addai was forced to leave Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a hamstring injury and his return is questionable, according to Kent Babb of the KC Star. The Colts running back left the field clearly favoring his leg and was being examined on the sideline.
Joseph Addai Injury: Colts RB Tweaks Hamstring, Return Questionable
If Addai is out for an extended period, that's obviously not good news for the Colts, who are already using their third quarterback this season. Curtis Painter has looked solid this week, completing 6 of 7 pass for 71 yards and a touchdown, but the relatively inexperience signal call could use all the help he can get.
Addai has been enjoying a solid season so far, while sharing time with Delone Carter. Addai has 230 yards and a touchdown, while averaging 4.6 yards per carry.
Carter is the most obvious option to pick up the extra carries in Addai’s absence, but has been considerably less effective. He has rushed for just 103 yards on 29 carries this season.
