NFL Scores, Week 5: Andy Dalton Helps Bengals Top Jaguars, 30-20

Andy Dalton and the Bengals came back to beat the Jaguars in Jacksonville.

In a battle of rookie quarterbacks, Cincinnati and Andy Dalton had just enough to beat the Jaguars and Blaine Gabbert in Jacksonville, coming back in the fourth quarter for a 30-20 victory.

Dalton led the Bengals on two scoring drives in the fourth quarter, including a 23-yard drive set up by a shanked punt capped by Bernard Scott's two-yard game-winning touchdown run. Add that drive to his 177 yards and two touchdowns through the air, and Dalton had a decent day.

Gabbert was less successful, despite finding Jason Hill for a 74-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. He threw for just 197 yards total, averaging fewer than 10 yards per attempt on plays that weren't the bomb to Hill. Maurice Jones-Drew had 85 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown in the losing effort.

Cincinnati scored a final touchdown on a desperation hook-and-lateral play by the Jaguars: the ball was pitched back to Gabbert, who fumbled it to Bengals defender Geno Atkins, and Atkins ran it in for the game's final score.

With the win, the Bengals move to 3-2 on the season, while the Jaguars fall to 1-4 with the loss.
