NFL Scores Week 5: Chiefs Comeback Sinks Colts, 28-24

After falling behind 24-7 at the half, the Chiefs roared back for a 28-24 win over the Colts.

The Colts had a 24-7 halftime lead, and Curtis Painter was looking a little like the other guy who's been throwing it around in Indianapolis. But as with everything else so far in this year without Peyton Manning, the Colts ended up dealing with disappointment, as the Chiefs raced back in the second half for a 28-24 victory.

Matt Cassel threw for 257 yards and four touchdowns, finding Dwayne Bowe and Steve Breaston for two touchdowns each, as the Chiefs clawed back for their second win of the year. Kansas City running back Jackie Battle, who had 155 career rushing yards entering Sunday, emerged from obscurity to give the Chiefs 119 rushing yards.

The Colts had a great first half and a miserable second half: while Painter threw for 277 yards and two touchdowns, Indy managed just 69 yards in the second half, as the Chiefs controlled the ball, clock, and, eventually, the game.

With the win, the Chiefs move to 2-3 on the season, while the Colts fall to 0-5 with the loss.
