Josh Morgan Injury: 49ers Receiver Has Ankle Injury, Severity Unknown

49ers receiver Josh Morgan suffered an ankle injury late in San Francisco's 48-3 rout of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. He was helped off the field and did not return to the game.

49ers coach Jim Harbaugh has indicated Morgan’s injury may not be as serious as it seemed on the field, but the severity of the injury is unknown.

Morgan was San Francisco's leading receiver on the day, hauling in five catches for 75 yards, and came into the game with 10 catches for 145 yards on the season. Morgan, who has spent all four years of his NFL career with San Francisco, is regarded as one of the 49ers' lesser receivers, behind Michael Crabtree and Braylon Edwards, and has never had more than three touchdowns in a season.
