Raiders Vs. Chargers: TV Schedule, Game Time Announcers And More

The Oakland Raider and the San Diego Chargers are a combined 0-5 over the last three weeks of the season. Somebody will have to win Thursday, however, hopefully shedding some light on the murky AFC West standings.

Considering their performances in recent weeks, it is difficult to envision either the Oakland Raiders or the San Diego Chargers coming away with a victory on Thursday night. The Raiders are reeling after dropping two straight games, both in convincing fashion to divisional opponents. The Chargers have lost three straight, all in new and spectacular ways. Somebody will have to win, however, hopefully shedding some light on the murky AFC West standings.

The Carson Palmer experiment in Oakland is off to a bumpy start. The former Bengal has six interceptions to just three touchdowns in two rusty appearances. But as rough as Palmer has looked at times, he was nowhere near as bad as a Raiders defense that gave up 299 yards rushing to the Denver Broncos last week. Palmer's addition was supposed to be catalyst to a playoff run behind a stout defense. Based on last week's performance, he may be the only thing keeping the franchise afloat.

The Chargers at least went down swinging in a shootout with the undefeated Green Bay Packers last week. Still, Philip Rivers continued his schizophrenic three-week stretch in which he has accounted for eight total turnovers and five touchdowns while throwing for 933 yards. San Diego's fortunes lay in Rivers' hands, meaning you should expect even more rollercoaster fare as we get deeper into the second half of the season.

With both teams devoid of any kind of momentum at the moment, be prepared for anything and everything to happen. A win for either the Raiders or the Chargers would go a long way towards rejuvenating either squad in a division that is as up-for-grabs as any in the league.
