Kevin Kolb Injury: Cardinals QB Reportedly Not Expected To Play Vs. Eagles

The Arizona Cardinals are expected to be without Kevin Kolb for the second consecutive week when they travel to play the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. The Cards haven't ruled him out but Schefter reports it's expected to be John Skelton with the start on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Kolb tried to push his injured toe in Wednesday’s practice but apparently there hasn’t been enough progress made.

This is a big week for Kolb considering he was traded from Philly to Arizona before the season so it looks like he’ll be missing the game against his former team.

This would be Kolb's second consecutive missed game after he was unable to go last week when the Cards beat the St. Louis Rams for only their second victory of the season.

The Cardinals are 2-6 so Kolb’s absence isn’t disrupting a playoff push or anything like that but this is his first year in Arizona and, after signing a six-year, $65 million contract, you would hope things would be going better. He has seven touchdowns and seven interceptions this season.

Check out SB Nation’s Revenge Of The Birds where they’re comparing the production of Kolb vs. Skelton.
