NFL Scores Week 10, Saints Vs. Falcons: New Orleans Wins In Overtime After Fourth Down Stop, 26-23

One big stop after a day full of poor defensive play was enough to give the Saints a big win over the Falcons.

The New Orleans Saints aren't really known for their defense. But it was a fourth down stop in overtime that sealed the Saints' big road win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 10.

Atlanta opted to run up the middle on a fourth and one from deep inside its own territory in overtime, but the Saints blew up the line and stopped Michael Turner for no gain. From there, it was a simple matter for New Orleans to get into position for John Kasay, who booted a game-winning 26-yard field goal.

It was good that the Saints got a stop when they needed it most, considering how futile their attempts to get stops had been throughout the game. Atlanta rolled up 481 yards of offense against New Orleans, Matt Ryan throwing for 351 yards and two touchdowns and Turner running for 96 yards in the loss.

Drew Brees threw for 322 yards and two touchdowns in the victory, extending his streak of consecutive games with a touchdown pass to 37 and moving past Brett Favre for sole possession of second place in that category.

The Saints move to 7-3 with the win, and Atlanta falls to 5-4 with the loss.
