Plaxico Burress had been pretty quiet through most of the New York Jets' Sunday Night Football game with the New England Patriots, but Mark Sanchez was able to find him in the end zone early in the fourth quarter. Burress hauled in his third reception of the game for a touchdown, pulling the home team within seven points as New York now trails 23-17.

Burress has caught three of Sanchez’s 14 total completions for 39 yards, which probably says more about his quarterback’s game than his own. The touchdown catch was a thing of beauty, though, as the showed off a solid timing route.
The Jets are going to need to limit turnovers and find a way to stop Tom Brady from connecting with tight end Rob Gronkowski if they're going to have a chance to win this game, but throwing touchdowns certainly helps as well.
