Patriots Vs. Jets Final Score: New England Takes Control Of AFC East

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots have complete control of the AFC East following Sunday evening's victory over the New York Jets. Tom Brady led New England to 24 points in the second half, making the final score 37-16 in favor of the Patriots after an ugly first half of football.

Brady's favorite target during the duration of Sunday Night Football was tight end Rob Gronkowski, but six separate receivers were the benefactors of his 26 passing completions for 329 yards and three touchdowns.

Gronkowski definitely was key, however, as caught eight passes for 113 yards and two of Brady's three touchdowns. Veteran wide receiver Deion Branch pulled in a touchdown as well while linebacker Rob Ninkovich iced the game with an interception and touchdown of his own.

The Jets struggled throughout as Mark Sanchez threw two interceptions -- both of which ended up in the hands of Ninkovich -- which mostly offset his 306 yards through the air. Plaxico Burress pulled in Sanchez's lone touchdown pass to begin the fourth quarter.

The New England Patriots play the Kansas City Chiefs next week on Monday Night Football, making it an extra long week of recovery in between back-to-back games in primetime. The Jets are on the opposite end of the spectrum, though, as they have to turn around and play the Denver Broncos on Thursday night during the NFL Network's game of the week.
