The Philadelphia Eagles lost another game over the weekend and along the way they may have lost their quarterback, too. Eagles head coach Andy Reid said on Monday that Vick suffered a couple of broken ribs in Sunday's loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Michael Vick Injury: Status Unknown With Broken Ribs, Eagles Say
Michael Vick suffered a couple of broken ribs in the Eagles loss to the Cardinals in Week 10. His status for next week is currently unknown.
His status for Week 11 is currently unknown, Reid said.
Reid said Vick took a shot on the second play of Sunday’s game. Vick was briefly replaced by Vince Young in the fourth quarter of the game but ultimately returned to the game.
Vick and the DeSean Jackson-less Eagles struggled to maintain any offensive consistency throughout the loss to the Cardinals. Vick completed just 16-of-34 passes for 128 yards and two interceptions.
The good news for the Eagles is that Vick came back in to finish the game. We won’t know more about his status until Wednesday when the Eagles start their preparations for Week 11.
