The Buffalo Bills started then 2011 NFL season as arguably the league's biggest surprise winning four of their first five games but things are starting to crumble. The Bills have lost three of their last four, moving them into a tie for second place in the AFC East, and news comes down that starting center Eric Wood reportedly tore his ACL last Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.
Eric Wood Injury: Bills C Has Torn ACL, According To Report
Bills C Eric Wood suffered a season-ending ACL tear on Sunday as the Bills lost to the Cowboys dropping them to 5-4 on the season.
Wood's injury, if/once the Bills confirm it, will end his 2011 season. This is a major blow for Wood, who is probably the BIlls best offensive lineman. He and the rest of the offensive line have helped Fred Jackson put on one of the best seasons for a running back this season.

As we discussed this morning, the likely replacement plan for Wood in the pivot will be to slide left guard Andy Levitre over to that spot. That’s assuming, of course, that Levitre doesn’t have to play left tackle, whereDemetrius Bell is still shelved, and where rookie Chris Hairston has been stuck on the cusp of returning for two weeks. If Levitre has to stay at tackle,Kraig Urbik will play center until Hairston is ready, and Colin Brown will play right guard.
