Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers have had quite a bit of fanfare surrounding them, but the team has won just two of its nine games entering Week 11. The team will try to change that this weekend when they go on the road to face the Detroit Lions, but it won't be easy as the NFL odds have them as the current underdog.
NFL Odds And Lines Week 11: Panthers Vs. Lions
The Carolina Panthers and Detroit Lions will play in a battle of the NFL’s big cats this weekend. The NFL odds favor the hosting Lions, but Cam Newton has been spectacular a few times this season.
The Lions are favored by seven points in their match-up with the Panthers this weekend at Ford Field, a somewhat surprising statistic considering that they've lost three of their last four games and quarterback Matthew Stafford is dealing with a finger injury. Carolina hasn't been any better in the win column, of course, but they're being given as many as eight points on a couple of sites.
The over-under opened at 48½, but has dropped at least one point on all of the sites. There aren’t many trends as far as either team is concerned this season in that department, though, so it’s unclear what sort of value might be included there.
