Falcons, Giants, Ravens On Upset Watch For NFL Week 11

The Falcons, Giants and Ravens are on upset watch in Week 11 of the 2011 NFL season.

Last week we finished 1-for-3 on predicting upsets -- Bengals over Steelers (wrong), Bills over Cowboys (wrong) and Seahawks over Ravens (correct). Maybe this week will be better.

Your three teams that should be on upset alert in Week 11....

Tennessee Titans over Atlanta Falcons

Where: Atlanta, Georgia

Spread: Falcons by six

Why:

Chris Johnson. That’s why.

Chris Johnson finally had that breakout game in Week 10 against the Panthers that his fans and fantasy owners have all been waiting for. If that game is a sign that he's finally back to his old self, the Titans could be a tough team to beat down the stretch. When Johnson is playing well, he's by far one of the best running backs in the NFL and, paired with Matt Hasselbeck at quarterback, Johnson could have another big game in Atlanta.

Philadelphia Eagles over New York Giants

Where: East Rutherford, New Jersey

Spread: Giants by 4.5

Why:

The Eagles are an incredibly talented team and even though they haven’t been very good this season, they are capable of exploding with big plays at any moment. The Giants have taken control of the NFC East and we’ve heard so many people lately say that you can’t spell E-L-I-T-E without Eli. I’m thinking that the Eagles might play the spoiler on Sunday and knock the Giants down a peg or two.

Cincinnati Bengals over Baltimore Ravens

Where: Baltimore, Maryland

Spread: Ravens by seven

Why:

I promise, if the Bengals don't upset the Ravens this week, I'll quit picking them, but I have good reason this week. The Ravens have looked good, at times, but Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense has struggled against Mike Zimmer and the Bengals defense through the last few years. In fact, the Ravens have only scored more than more than 20 points against the Bengals defense one time since the 2006 season. The Bengals have always played the Ravens tough and now that they're a team with their backs against the wall, it wouldn't surprise me if they shocked Baltimore on Sunday.
