VIDEO: Green Bay Punter Saves Scoring Drive

Three-and-outs are not very common for the Green Bay Packers this season. In their first possession of the game against Tampa Bay today, the Buccaneers had Aaron Rodgers and company backed up at their own 21-yard-line and punting it away. Thanks to a quick thinking move from punter Tim Masthay they ended up with a new set of downs.

Tampa got a defender through the line on the punt. Seeing a white jersey bearing down on him, Masthay pulled in the ball and made a break for it. Then, he fumbled it and recovered the fumble at the Packers’ 27-yard-line. Despite the Keystone Kops moment, it ended up giving the Packers a first down. Check out the video of the Masthay’s run.

Green Bay is still driving thanks to Masthay’s heads up play. Rodgers led his team the length of the field. They brought defensive tackle B.J. Raji in at the goal line to score on the fullback dive.
