Coming off an overtime loss to the New Orleans Saints last week, the Atlanta Falcons have bounced back nicely, holding the Tennessee Titans to 140 total yards and taking a 13-3 lead into halftime. Chris Johnson has once again struggled to get anything going, with just 12 yards on nine carries. The Falcons, meanwhile, have 84 total yards rushing, 73 of which have come from Michael Turner's 10 carries.
NFL Scores Week 11, Titans Vs. Falcons: Falcons Defense Steps Up, Takes 13-3 Lead Into Halftime
The Falcons got on the scoreboard on their first possession of the game. A Tennessee three-and-out deep in their own territory gave Atlanta great field position, starting near midfield. Matt Ryan found tight end Tony Gonzalez on three straight plays, including a 17-yard touchdown pass to cap the drive.
Atlanta scored 13 straight before Tennessee could put their first points on the board. With about one minute left in the half, the Titans took over on their own 10-yard line and managed to march down to Atlanta's 28-yard line thanks to some methodical passing from Matt Hasselbeck. Rob Bironas kicked a 46-yard field goal with two seconds left on the clock to essentially take the teams into the locker room.
