Donald Jones Injury: Could Miss 3-6 Weeks According To Chan Gailey

Buffalo Bills' wide receiver Donald Jones had to be carted off the field with an ankle injury during the second quarter of Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins. Now he may miss the next three to six weeks, according to head coach Chan Gailey. The news is a major blow to a Bills squad that not only got a blown out, but may have also lost cornerback Terrence McGee for the season.

Jones failed to record a catch before leaving, but had carved out a nice niche for himself as the team's No. 3 receiver this season. In week 10 he had a season-high six catches for 51 yards, adding to his yearly total of 23 catches, 231 yards and a touchdown. Jones missed the Bills' Week 6 and Week 8 matchups against the New York Giants and Washington Redskins with injuries as well.

With Jones out, expect the Bills to continue to work in C.J. Spiller more often at wide receiver on top of his occasional running back duties. It is clear at this point that team doesn't have much confidence in backups Naaman Roosevelt and Ruvell Martin to provide much help in the receiving corps.
