After the New England Patriots connected on a 52-yard touchdown pass from Tom Brady to tight end Rob Gronkowski, the Kansas City Chiefs got the football back. Quarterback Tyler Palko, filling in for the injured Matt Cassel, actually began driving the Chiefs down the field through the air. Palko connected on a few nice passes, but on second down was drilled as he threw the football. The ball sailed on him a bit and it was tipped, being picked off by the Patriots defense.
Chiefs Vs. Patriots: Tyler Palko Interception Leads To Patriots FG, 10-3
The Patriots offense once again was able to start marching down the field through the air, thanks to some key passes from Tom Brady, but the drived ended on the Chiefs 3-yard line when Danny Woodhead was stripped by Derrick Johnson just before crossing the goal line. The Patriots had to settle for the field goal and a 10-3 lead.
