Nnamdi Asomugha Injury: Eagles CB Avoids Serious Injury, Status For Sunday Unknown
Philadelphia Eagles cornerback avoids long-term injury in Thanksgiving practice.
Reuben Frank of Comcast Sportsnet Philly reported later this afternoon that Nnamdi's injury was not as serious as feared. Frank specifically said via Twitter that the injury "isn't a long-term or IR type of thing." Frank added that Asomugha's status for this Sunday's game against the New England Patriots is undetermined.
The Eagles could certainly use one of the league’s top corners, his recent struggles aside, against one of the league’s most potent pass offenses. Philadelphia does still have one of the better collections of cornerbacks in the NFL even without Asomugha.
Riding high after last week's win against the Giants, the Eagles are two games behind in the NFC East race.
