The San Fransisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens are playing like one might have expected early on in the first Harbaugh Bowl. Both teams are moving the ball, primarily with their running games and short passing, but both defenses are holding firm. Despite the fact that both teams have put together decent drives, they haven't gotten into the end zone. After one quarter, the score is tied up at 3-3.
49ers Vs. Ravens: Score Tied Early In HarBowl
Patrick Willis set the tone for the game on Baltimore's first possession, separating Ricky Williams from the ball with a vicious hit that eventually caused the Ravens to punt. However, thanks to some production from Ray Rice on their following drive, they were able to get three points on their next drive.
San Fransisco has a field goal of their own, thanks to a couple of Vernon Davis catches and some runs from Frank Gore. In addition to running the ball four times for 17 yards, Gore has also been excellent in pass protection.
The Ravens have the ball, and they’re driving. As the second quarter begins, they’ll have second down and medium, just across midfield.
