Darren McFadden Injury: Raiders RB Could Miss Another Two Weeks

On October 23rd, the Oakland Raiders were playing the Kansas City Chiefs and RB Darren McFadden was lost early in the game to a foot injury. It was believed that the injury might cost him one game but the feeling back then is that it wouldn't be a multi-game injury.

Here we sit over a month later and McFadden still isn’t playing. His injury is a mid-foot sprain and his progress has been slow in returning. So slow, in fact, that McFadden could miss two more games, NFL Network reports.

The Raiders are not putting a timeline on the injury, but teammates don't expect to see him return until perhaps Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers.

The Raiders can actually afford McFadden's loss because they have one of the best backup running backs in the league in Michael Bush. Dating back to the Chiefs game, McFadden has had games of 99, 96, 157 and 109 yards. They're also won two of their last three and hold a one-game advantage over the Broncos in the AFC West.

McFadden’s injury is probably hurting your fantasy team but it’s not necessarily hurting the Raiders right now.
