The Arizona Cardinals beat the St. Louis Rams in St. Louis for the seventh consecutive time, dating back to when Kurt Warner was still their quarterback. The win was the Cardinals' fourth of the season. For the Rams, it was their ninth loss this season, another reminder just how disappointing their season has been after flashing such potential last year.

The Arizona Cardinals beat the St. Louis Rams in St. Louis for the seventh consecutive time, dating back to when Kurt Warner was still their quarterback.
Arizona won by a final score of 23-20.
Special teams played a big role for both clubs. St. Louis opened the scoring on a Nick Miller punt-return touchdown. Arizona answered with a punt-return touchdown of their own in the third quarter. Rookie Patrick Peterson returned his fourth punt of the season for a touchdown. That ties him for the all-time punt-return touchdown record. It was the second time this season Peterson has returned a punt for a score against the Rams; he had a 99-yard return for the overtime win in week 9.
The Rams had few positives to point to in this one. For the second time this season the Rams defense allowed an opposing running back to set a franchise record for single-game rushing yards. Beanie Wells ran for 228 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries. They allowed Dallas' DeMarco Murray to top 250 yards rushing earlier in the season to set a new franchise record.
