Kevin Kolb Injury: Status For Week 9 Is Uncertain

The status of Arizona Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb remains a question mark as he's missed the last two days of practice. Kolb is suffering from turf toe and got out of his protective boot on Wednesday but didn't practice that day or Thursday. If he can't go, John Skelton would step in.

The Arizona Republic reported that he still has a limp so the injury doesn't appear to be getting considerably better. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Thursday that Kolb was unlikely to play this weekend against the St. Louis Rams.

It’s too bad for Kolb that he misses this week of all weeks. He’s struggled this year but the Rams are the third worst defense in the NFL right now. If there were ever a “get well” game, this is it. Kolb has completed less than 57 percent of his passes and has eight touchdown passes to eight interceptions. The locals are getting restless with his play after Arizona made the big trade for him this summer.

Check out SB Nation’s Revenge of the Birds for more on Kolb and his Week 9 status.
