The Cincinnati Bengals have looked better than most predicted this year, but they will be put to a pretty decent test against Chris Johnson and the Tennessee Titans. The Week 9 NFL picks are a bit conflicting, though, likely due to the fact that Johnson has been less than impressive thus far this season.
NFL Picks And Predictions Week 9: Bengals Vs. Titans
The Cincinnati Bengals and Tennessee Titans match-up this weekend. It seems Chris Johnson will be the difference-maker, though it’s not exactly clear if that will favor the home or away team.
Peter King of Sports Illustrated started out the split picks by taking the Titans in a close one. He doesn’t believe Johnson will make the game-winning impact, however.
No knock on the Bengals. Just the realization that their hold on playoff contention is still tenuous, and the Titans, playing at home, will match their defensive intensity if not quality of rotation. ESPN’s panel of experts split evenly at four votes apiece, though its simulator broke the tie in favor of the Bengals. CBS Sports isn’t quite as conflicted, however, as they have the Bengals across the board -- even when the spread is involved -- and the same goes with the fine folks at Yahoo! Sports.
