Tony Romo Fantasy: Cowboys QB Once Again Piling Up Yardage

After a first half in which Tony Romo just piled up yards but didn’t get his team into the end zone, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback ended up with a well-rounded afternoon. Romos threw for 279 yards in the game, most of which were in the first half, but tossed two second-half touchdowns.

Things have not been peachy-keen for fantasy owners who invested in Romo as they have been largely disappointed his performance — derived from his lack of consistency — thus far in 2011. Though he's thrown for a whole heap of yardage — 1,700-plus in five games — he's only thrown 11 touchdowns, failing to utilize two players who should be among the best end zone receivers in the league: Jason Witten and Bryant.

Romo faced the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9, who have an unheralded pass defense featuring defensive back terrors in Marcus Trufant and safety Kam Chancellor. He needed to use all his weapons to turn himself around after Week 8's abysmal loss to the Eagles.
