Alex Smith Fantasy Stats: Above-Average Day For 49ers QB
You would think as the quarterback of a 6-1 team — the second-best record in the NFL — Alex Smith would have some pretty good stats. Heck, even kinda good. But they’re not. He has 10 total touchdowns (9 passing, one rushing), and has thrown for 1,267 yards, an average of well under 200 a game. He’s not a guy who will get you a lot of points, so hopefully, if you’re forced to start him, it’s because of a bye, not because of a poor decision.
On the plus side, he faced the Redskins in Week 9, who have been struggling in just about every facet of the game. On the downside, that could just mean the 49ers are running the ball almost exclusively in the second half.
