Marques Colston Fantasy Stats: New Orleans Saints WR Doesn’t Put Up Big Numbers

The New Orleans Saints ran the ball well without Mark Ingram while Drew Brees spread the ball around in their 27-11 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, meaning that Marques Colston didn’t put up huge numbers. Colston’s fantasy owners won’t exactly be throwing things at their monitors after his performance, but five catches for 52 yards and no touchdowns isn’t exactly going to win anyone their matchup this week.

Colston had 424 receiving yarda on the season with three receiving touchdowns entering Week 9. Colston was averaging 71 yards receiving per game. Colston’s receiving yards per game were up nearly five yards per game from last season.

Colston was ranked as the 8th ranked wide receiver according to Yahoo! heading into his match up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who rank 26th against the pass, giving up 268 passing yards per game.
