Fred Jackson Injury: Bills RB Suffers Stinger, Return Questionable

Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson has a stinger. He was last seen on the sidelines working with the Bills’ training staff. His return is questionable, according to Albert Breer of the NFL Network. C.J. Spiller will replace Jackson in the Bills’ lineup.

Jackson’s injury comes at the worst possible time for the Bills. Halfway through the third quarter, Buffalo is trying to overcome a 13-0 deficit against their division rivals, the New York Jets.

Jackson has been a huge part of Buffalo’s success this season, and one of the best running backs in the NFL this year. He has 721 yards on 132 carries as well as six touchdowns. He has 27 receptions for 353 yards. Jackson leaves the game with 59 yards on 14 carries.

Spiller, a first-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, has just 107 rushing yards on 15 carries this season. For this game, Spiller has just two carries for five yards.
