Bears Vs. Eagles: Jay Cutler’s Second TD Gives Bears 27-24 Lead

After the Chicago Bears cut the Philadelphia Eagles lead to 24-20, the Bears defense forced a three-and-out to get Jay Cutler and their offense the ball back. Back up right away with a holding penalty on the first play of the drive, the Bears picked up the long first down in just two plays, thanks to a nice catch and run pass from Jay Cutler to wide receiver Earl Bennett, who took the short pass 22-yards.

Cutler then hit receiver Devin Hester on a shovel pass for 19-yards, but another 15-yards were tacked onto the end of the play because of a personal foul on Darryl Tapp, who hit Hester late on the play. The play and the penalty combined put the Bears on the Eagles 9-yard line and two plays later, Cutler hit Earl Bennett in the back of the endzone to take the lead 27-24. So far on the night, Earl Bennett has 5 catches for 95 yards and a touchdown.
