When two teams clash that have thrived in the Monday Night Football spotlight, who do you put your money on? The Chicago Bears have been terrific in recent years on national TV, going 5-1 ATS in their past 6 MNF games. On the road on Monday, they are 7-2 ATS in nine tries.

They visit the Philadelphia Eagles, who have been even better, rolling to a 7-1 ATS run in 8 games. “Often, you side with the superior team and/or the home team and in both scenarios, that is the Eagles tonight,” said Mike Pickett of OddsShark.com. “Often, you stay out of the line of fire with the point spread and check out the total or some player props.”

Indeed, more trends turn on the Chicago Bears and the UNDER call than any other angle here as the Bears visit the Eagles. [See the full Bears Eagles matchup stats and trends]

Chicago comes off a bye week and has been reliable UNDER bets lately in that situation (5-2 past 7). They have also been UNDER machines on the road in November in recent years, grinding to a 9-2 record past 11 times.

Overall, Chicago has trended UNDER on the road at 8-2 past 10 away from Soldier Field. And as an underdog, the UNDER has hit at a 15-5 clip the past 20 times the Bears were dogged.

“Noteworthy is the fact LeSean McCoy has been battling the flu this weekend, although he says he’s good to go,” added Pickett. “The last two times versus Chicago, Mike Vick has struggled and gotten knocked down a lot, so establishing the run is key here.”

Each team is looking for a third straight win to climb back into playoff contention. The Eagles seem a better bet to get it, but they have to cover 8 points in order to win for bettors as well.

OddsShark.com Monday Night Pick: UNDER 47.5 (best number for the UNDER)
