Not long after surrendering a touchdown on an ugly Philip Rivers fumble, the San Diego Chargers tacked on two more touchdowns of their own, making it a 30-10 game. After Rivers and Antonio Gates combined for another score, the Chargers defense got in on the action. Safety Steve Gregory, who was run over by Ryan Fitzpatrick earlier in the game, picked him off and returned the ball 26 yards for a touchdown.

The Bills aren’t playing well enough to think that they can erase a 20-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter, but stranger things have happened.
Rivers has 191 yards passing and two touchdowns. Running back Ryan Matthews has been particularly effective, and he has 103 yards on 16 carries so far in the game.
Most of the rest of the offense has come through Antonio Gates, who has scored twice and has 68 yards on seven catches.
