Ray Lewis has been out of the Baltimore Ravens lineup since Week 11 with a turf toe injury, but the linebacker is apparently expected to return to the field in time for the end of the Ravens' regular season. The 12-time Pro Bowler may even play this weekend when his team hosts the San Diego Chargers on Sunday Night Football.
Ray Lewis Injury Update: Ravens Expect LB To Play This Week
After missing the past four games, ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Lewis will practice this week and that the Ravens expect him to play against the Chargers. Lewis himself confirmed that playing this weekend was a possibility while talking to the Baltimore Sun on Tuesday.
“I’m feeling way better,” Lewis said. “Way better. I thought I had a good chance the last four weeks to play, but the coaches are going to make those decisions. They’re just being smart. I don’t mind being smart. The warrior side of me of course is always going to want to get back out there.”
