Ravens, Patriots And Eagles On Upset Watch In Week 15

The Ravens, Patriots and Eagles should be on upset watch for Week 15 of the 2011 NFL season.

Last week we went 1-for-3 picking the Titans over the Saints (nope, but almost), the Bears over the Broncos (nope, but almost) and the Giants over the Cowboys (yep). This week there are some interesting matchups and as usual potential upsets. Here are three of them.

Where: San Diego, California

Spread: Ravens by 2.5

Why: The Chargers may have been disappointing this season but they’re usually pretty good in December. They’ve strung together a couple wins in a row and even though those came against teams that aren’t on Baltimore’s level, the Ravens still have to travel all the way across the country. This will be a close game but I think the Chargers have a good shot at pulling out the upset.

Where: Denver, Colorado

Spread: Patriots by 6.5

Why: Tim Tebow has not only made a believer out of me, he's made a believer out of his own team. The Broncos have rallied around him coming from behind in four straight games to win but they haven't played a team as good as the Patriots yet. Even though their defense is playing good, they probably can't stop Tom Brady (Who can?) and all night long. Tebow is going to have to put some points up on the board but against the league's worst passing defense, that's very possible. This upset may seem very unlikely but I'm telling you, it can happen.

Where: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Spread: Eagles by 2

Why: The Eagles' season is all but over. They can win out to hit .500 and it's highly unlikely that will be good enough to get them into the playoffs. The Jets, as of right now, are holding on to the sixth and final seed in the AFC but there are teams nipping at their heals. All it would take is for the Jets to slip up once and a team like the Titans or Bengals would take their spot and the Jets know it. They still have something to play for which could translate to a win for the Jets in Philly.
