NFL Scores Week 15, Panthers Vs. Texans: Chicanery Helps Carolina Surprise Houston, 28-13

(Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images) Getty ImagesRichie Brockel scored his first NFL touchdown on a fumblerooski in the second quarter to give the Panthers a commanding 21-0 lead over Houston, and the Panthers’ often porous defense forced three turnovers to short-circuit the Texans in a 28-13 win.
With the win, Carolina improves to 5-9 in 2011, while the Texans, already the AFC South champions, lost a bit of ground in the race for a first round bye in the AFC playoffs.

Cam Newton has tossed two touchdown passes for the Panthers and led a nifty trick play for another touchdown run by Richie Brockel that put Carolina up 21-0 at halftime.
