Heading into Week 15, the hometown New York Giants were the solid favorites against the visiting Washington Redskins. The Giants were hoping for a win to give them back the NFC East lead, but things didn't quite work out that way. When all was said and done, the Redskins ended up stunning the New York crowd and walking away with a 23-10 win that was not as close as the final score would indicate.

Both teams looked unsteady in the early going. Washington Redskins quarterback Rex Grossman fired two interceptions on the opening play of a drive twice in the opening quarter. The Giants started a string of three-and-outs. Graham Gano kicked a field goal for Washington in the first quarter to open the scoring and put the Redskins on top early. It was a lead that the Redskins would not surrender for the duration of the game.

Grossman settled down in the second quarter and found Santana Moss in the end zone for a 20-yard touchdown pass. Less than five minutes later, Darrel Young would complete a 6-yard touchdown run to put the Redskins up 17-0 at that point. The Giants would finally get on the board with 0:02 left in the first half on a 40-yard Lawrence Tynes field goal.

Graham Gano would add a 43-yard field goal in the third quarter and a 25-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to put Washington up 23-3. It would not be until the final seconds of the game that the Giants would be able to find the end zone. With 0:33 left to play, Ahmad Bradshaw scored a touchdown on a 3-yard run.

Rex Grossman finished the game going 15-for-24 with 185 passing yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. His counterpart, Eli Manning, went 23-for-40 with 257 passing yards and three interceptions.
