Aqib Talib recovered enough from a hamstring injury to start for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday, but he wasn't able to make it through that game. After re-aggravating his hamstring injury in that game, which forced him to sit out the entire second half, the Bucs have made the decision to put Talib on injured reserve and sit him down for the rest of the season.
Aqib Talib Injury Lands Him On Injured Reserve For Bucs
Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib has been placed on injured reserve and will miss the team’s final two games.

Talib initially picked up the injury in Week 13 against the Carolina Panthers. The Bucs kept him inactive for Week 14's encounter with the Jacksonville Jaguars before Talib made his return to the starting lineup last week. He didn't last long in that game, and it's not surprising that the Bucs have opted to end his season. With two games remaining and the Bucs well out of the playoff hunt, Talib wasn't going to return, so there was no reason not to open up his roster spot to get playing time for another defensive back.
