NFL Playoff Picture: Giants, Jets Looking To Keep Chances Alive
The New York Giants and New York Jets are fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Neither team can clinch a playoff spot, but the Jets can help prevent the Denver Broncos from clinching a playoff spot with a win over the Giants. The Giants can prevent the Dallas Cowboys from clinching the NFC East with a win over the Jets, which would also potentially prevent the Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions from securing berths in the NFC Playoffs.
The Jets have made the playoffs in two straight seasons under head coach Rex Ryan, winning four of their six games in January. The Giants have missed the post-season the last two seasons and, after losing five of their last six games, are faced with the prospect of another late-season swoon derailing what was once a promising season.
