The New Orleans Saints are hosting the Detroit Lions in this week's Sunday Night Football matchup. Through the first half of play, the Saints have largely been in control of the game.

Drew Brees has led the New Orleans offense to a commanding 24-7 lead at halftime. Brees has been outstanding so far, going 16-for-21 with 243 passing yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.

In the final three minutes of the first half, Brees was able to lead his team on an eight-play, 51-yard drive that ended with a 20-yard pass to Lance Moore in the end zone.

That score gave the ball back to the Lions with 0:22 remaining in the half. Detroit was able to get itself into field goal range, but their field goal attempt was deflected and they came up empty.
