John Chick Injury: Jaguars DE Injures Knee, Won’t Return

The Jaguars trail the Chargers 31-14 after two quarters and change. The much-maligned Philip Rivers has been stellar for San Diego, throwing for three touchdowns and 283 yards. If the Jags are going to figure out a way to slow him down the rest of the game, they'll have to do so without defensive end John Chick, who won't return after suffering a right knee injury.

Chick injured himself late in the second quarter, falling back awkwardly after failing to turn the corner against Chargers left tackle Jared Gaither. As you can see in the video below, he immediately clutched his knee and was eventually carted to the locker room.

Chick went undrafted out of Utah State in 2006, and has spent the last several years bouncing between the CFL and NFL practice squads before finally making an NFL active roster this season. In 10 games for the Jaguars, he’s collected eight tackles and 2.5 sacks.
